Company History

1965

A-Z Corporation was established in Sendagaya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo.
Started import and export business with Taiwan, mainly in the towel business.

1976

Upxon was established and the Head Office was relocated to Yoyogi, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo.
Started the apparel business.

1978

Obtained a license for Hanes, an underwear brand from Hanesbrands Inc. in the United States, and started manufacturing and selling the product in Japan.

1982

Expanded business to China

1983

Established Nantong Huafeng Plastics Co., Ltd.

1986

Nantong Dadong Co., Ltd., was established.

1990

Changed the company name to A-Z Corporation, and relocated the Head Office to Higashi-Nakano, Nakano-ku, Tokyo.

1992

Established Nantong Times Apparel Co., Ltd.

1993

Sold manufacturing and selling license for Hanes in Japan to Sara Lee Corp. in the United States.
Upxon was merged into Sara Lee Japan Ltd.

1995

Jiangsu A-Z Group Co., Ltd. was established by integrating 19 manufacturing plants in China.
Along with the start of production and sales in China, started full-scale subply of products such as Hanes underwear and T-shirts to Sara Lee Japan Ltd.

1999

Increased capital to 50 million yen.

2003

Yoshiaki Kure was appointed to Representative Director and President.

2010

Started operation of new plant of Nantong Dadong Co., Ltd.

2013

Started sale of the original brand SODATERU TOWEL®.

2015

Celebrated 50th Anniversary of A-Z Corporation.

2016

Established Vietnam Dadong Co., Ltd.

2018

Yoshiaki Kure was appointed to Representative Director and CEO, and Masako Sato was appointed to Representative Director and President.

2019

Relocated the sales office to Kita-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo.

2020

Launched the SODATERU TOWEL® showroom in Omotesando.

2023

Marked the 10-year anniversary of the original brand SODATERU TOWEL®.
