In 1965, our visionary founder Fumitaka Kure initiated trade between Japan and Taiwan, marking the inception of the A-Z Group. Notably, during this period, towels manufactured in the United States commanded exorbitant prices. By leveraging premium cotton materials sourced from Taiwan, we pioneered the production of high-quality towels at affordable prices, significantly expanding their accessibility across Japan. Our towels swiftly gained prominence, becoming the preferred choice for hot spring inns and hotels nationwide, thereby enhancing the hospitality experience.

Since 1981, our company has fostered a strong bond of trust with Nantong City in Jiangsu Province, renowned for its superior cotton cultivation. This led to the establishment of Nantong Dadong Co., Ltd. as a joint venture, marking the initiation of A-Z’s manufacturing journey. Right from the outset, we have been under the guidance of Japanese technicians, ensuring our reputation as a company committed to crafting high-quality towels. Our production is a harmonious blend of Japan’s stringent quality standards and China’s advantageous production environment and top-notch materials.

Since then, we have elevated our towel development and manufacturing capabilities to a global pinnacle by engaging in OEM production for prestigious luxury and lifestyle brands worldwide. In 2013, we proudly introduced our signature brand, SODATERU TOWEL_®, and expanded our reach in 2016 with the establishment of Vietnam Dadong Co., Ltd. Since then, we have been actively distributing an extensive range of approximately 3 billion towel varieties worldwide, emanating from our two state-of-the-art production plants.

Our company name, A-Z, is derived from the expression ‘from A to Z’, symbolizing everything from start to finish. To ensure the production of a superior product, we must seamlessly integrate technologies across all processes, from raw material procurement to post-delivery customer service.
